From the course: Blender 4.0 Essential Training
Color, compositing, and Kuwahara
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to talk about color and compositing and how it can make your scene look even better. Now, one big thing to note. In the Blender 4.0 Series, there is a new color transform called AgX that replaces the older filmic color transform. Basically, in the Blender 3.0 in previous series, whenever something got really bright, it still kept its saturation, but that's not necessarily how color works in real life, especially through a camera. Instead, color desaturates, as you can see here, the brighter it gets. This has the advantage of making everything look more realistic, but it does come at the cost of somewhat desaturating things. Let's take a look at how to play with it and make it better. Back in our scene, I want to go ahead and make sure I've done a few things. First, that I'm in Cycles. Second, for our purposes, we don't need 4096 samples, so I'm just going to turn these down…
