- [Instructor] In this episode, we're going to be covering literally more than 50 services in AWS, many of them brand new, in just the most recent two years. Now, the reality is that you don't have to know every detail about all of these services. So in this episode, I'm going to give you a definitional overview of each of them. For the ones that you need to know more about, we'll be talking about them throughout the course, so let's go right down through the categories, and see what's new since the last time we looked at them. First of all, in Compute, we do have Lambda functions. Now, these are just serverless functions in the cloud, meaning you create a function, and then your other applications can call that function in order to get its response, whatever it is that it returns to them. So think of it as sort of like APIs in the cloud, but it's really a function that you're calling in the cloud. Then we have Batch.…
