- [Instructor] The process of separating a subject from it's background by filtering out a range of color is called chroma keying. Keylight is a bundled chroma key effect that is able to get great results easily. Let's take a look. We'll come over to this O2 Composition, and here I've got some footage, it's just me holding a remote in front of the TV with a green picture. So the TV itself, obviously, provides a really evenly lit green screen background. I'll select my layer and then come over here to Effect. And under Keying, we have Keylight down here. Let's double-click Keylight to open it up in the Effect Controls window. And the first thing that we need to do is define the color that we want to extract, and we can do that with this eye dropper here. I'll click anywhere in the green area of the footage to use as the color to key out. You'll notice that the green goes away. Let's take a closer look. If we come down…
