- [Instructor] Working in After Effects' 3D space requires the use of a few tools that will help us move around our 3D layers easily. Here we'll learn how to Orbit, Pan and Dolly. Let's switch to this O2 two field composition where I've got several 3D layers and a few 2D layers as well. Now, because we have at least one 3D layer, After Effects will put us into its 3D compositing workspace and over here we have the ability to turn on draft 3D. I suggest you do that. It'll use your computer's GPU to help accelerate the interactivity. And also, let's turn on this 3D ground plane. By turning on this grid, we can have a better context as to where we are in 3D space. Now, to maneuver around our scene, we can come up over here to these tools. We have the Orbit tool, we have the Pan tool and we have the Dolly tool. Let's start with the Orbit tool.
