Here is what you will be doing as part of the team:

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Provide strategic recommendations to the CFO and executive team.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks. Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Operational Efficiency: Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems. Enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Build and maintain strong relationships with other Gemaire leaders to help support the company’s financial objectives.
• Knowledge Transfer: Work closely with the retiring VP of Finance to ensure a smooth transition. Absorb critical knowledge and processes to maintain continuity and stability.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and influence across all levels of the organization.
• Certifications: CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Vice President of Finance to join our executive team. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the company, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and driving financial performance. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be instrumental in the knowledge transfer process as our current VP of Finance prepares for retirement.

As a technology-focused company, Gemaire leverages advanced software platforms such as MicroStrategy, OneStream, Pricefx and Enable to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing these tools daily to drive insights and efficiencies. Additionally, given our strong emphasis on eCommerce, the VP of Finance will collaborate closely with our digital teams to optimize financial strategies related to our online sales channels.
