Vendor Systems Administrator

Verition Fund Management LLC ("Verition") is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

Verition is seeking a highly skilled Vendor Systems Administrator to join our team in either New York City or Connecticut. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by overseeing and optimizing our firm's task management and organizational software systems, including JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com, and other related applications. Reporting to the Director of PM Services, this position requires strong administrative expertise in JIRA/Atlassian platforms, proficiency in Python for API development, and a deep understanding of institutional software management practices.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the firm's primary administrator and in-house expert for JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com, and other project management/tracking applications. Manage user permissions, project configurations, and system integrations.
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange and integration between various software systems used across the firm.
• Conduct regular manual audits and cleanup activities to ensure adherence to firm protocols and policies within the technology department.
• Implement and enforce best practices for data integrity and system efficiency.
• Integrate JIRA with Monday.com to synchronize task flows.
• Establish connectivity between JIRA and Active Directory for group synchronization.
• Standardize project types across departments to enhance visibility.
• Develop tagging methodologies to link technology tasks with customers and business functions.
• Implement regular cleanup processes to streamline task management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in administering JIRA/Atlassian systems, including user management, workflow design, and configuration.
• Proficiency in creating and managing applications in Monday.com or similar platforms.
• Python programming skills to develop APIs for integrating third-party applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to navigate complex and evolving environments.
• Proven track record of successfully aligning legacy platforms with new system designs.
