Training Specialist

METCOR/LSI has a need for a Training Specialist to support the development and delivery of technical, procedural, and/or soft-skills training materials for federal employees. This position is full-time, remote, and offers a long-term opportunity for internal growth within an established organization.

Preferred Experience

• Call Center training experience
• Knowledge of military and/or civilian health benefits administration
• Salesforce learning environment experience
  
  

Duties And Responsibilities In The Training Specialist Role

• Deliver training in a classroom or virtual environment
• Collaborative design and development of training materials (presentations, quick reference tools, instructor/participant guides, etc.) on a variety of topics
• Editing and content review for team members
• Support end users and evaluate the efficacy of training materials
• Research and study to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a variety of topics
  
  

Required Skills And Abilities For The Training Specialist Role

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of, or experience with, the ADDIE process of Instructional Systems Design
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability
• Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
• Champion of life-long learning and self-development
• Ability to travel up to 25%
  
  

Education And Experience For The Training Specialist Role

• Bachelor's degree required (in a related field such as Instructional Design, Education, or English preferred)
• 1+ years of training content creation preferred
  
  

Physical Requirements Of The Training Specialist Role

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  
  

Compensation

• $50,000 - $80,000 annually
