Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead the supply chain operations and drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness throughout our supply chain processes. The Director of Supply Chain will play a critical role in optimizing the procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability of supply.
  • Inventory Management: Implement effective inventory control measures to optimize inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs and stock-outs.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and optimize logistics costs.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and resolving issues promptly to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to supply chain operations. Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including manufacturing, sales, finance, and quality assurance, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the electrical manufacturing industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and transforming supply chain operations, with demonstrated achievements in cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and optimize supply chain performance.
