Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, the month end close process, supporting the annual audit and in general supporting the ongoing company accounting operations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting support in the following areas: general ledger, deferred revenue, HR accounts payables and other areas
  • Manage accounts payable: vendor processing and check runs; and reconciling A/P to expenses
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities & assist in reporting


Apply weekly customer payments and reconcile operating cash accounts & bank statements

Month end duties: reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, analytical review of selected account and material operating expenses

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Provide support in the preparation and coordination of the audit process
  • Support the CFO in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for cgs and operating expenses
  • Work collaboratively with financial analyst to support cash forecasting


Support Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Participate in special projects and process improvements as required
  • Help with the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2-5 years relevant experience, preferably in a high technology / software company or public accounting

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)

Attention to detail and open to working on projects

Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
