The Role: We're seeking a sharp, proactive QA Engineer to join our close-knit team. You won't be lost in the shuffle here - your work will directly impact the reliability and functionality of Lynx, a system that helps keep thousands safe every day. You'll work closely with our development and support teams, bringing your insight and expertise to every stage of our product lifecycle.
What You'll Do:
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies
Conduct thorough testing of our Windows/.NET applications, web interfaces, and mobile apps (iOS/Android)
Manage and track software issues effectively using JIRA
Collaborate closely with development and support teams to align testing with project goals
Perform regular regression and smoke testing for new features and bug fixes
Drive continuous improvement in our QA processes, including identifying automation opportunities
Assist with customer issue triage alongside our technical support team
Contribute to product documentation and technical writing efforts
Requirements:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency with JIRA and Git
Basic programming knowledge and scripting abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of network-based hardware/software interactions and databases
Experience with AWS and cloud-based applications
SQL proficiency and database management skills
Experience with Linux environments and Apache beneficial
Familiarity with Perl scripting language
Work Environment: Start in-house at our office, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid work arrangement after 6 months, based on performance and team needs.
