Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant who will play a vital role in our financial operations. As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for Senior Housing communities.
  • Record journal entries and month-end accruals.
  • Review and record monthly credit card activity.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy of resident input information.
  • Assist in budget vs actual variance analyses.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address reconciling items promptly.
  • Provide support in accounts payable functions.
  • Ensure timely payments of taxes and insurance.
  • Maintain fixed assets sub-ledger and reconcile budget vs. actual for capital expenditures.
  • Assist with cash management and cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate with various departments and Business Office Directors.
  • Contribute to the development of operating procedures.
  • Undertake special accounting projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of property accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Voyager software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Deadline-oriented with strong communication abilities.

This is a remote position.

Salary Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 per year.
