At Pipio, we’re building a platform that allows video content creators the ability to connect and engage with their audiences with the power of AI. We’re a seed-funded, early stage startup on a mission to provide our users with access to AI-powered, digital actors (including their own) and the ability to generate their on-screen performances in minutes. From facial expression control to language dubbing, creators can now shoot, edit, and launch engaging videos featuring themselves or others in near real time. 


We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our generative AI video product. You will lead the effort to build the foundational ML-powered technologies, components, and shared services that comprise Pipio’s video generation platform. This role requires close collaboration with the engineering team that develops the platform components and products and our research and development team building the state-of-the-art generative models that power our avatars. This is a technical role requiring an ability to speak fluently with engineers and ML researchers to help design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that empower our users to create amazing, interactive video content for their audiences. 


What you’ll be doing:


  • Leading the charge in developing cutting-edge solutions for AI-generated avatars and videos
  • Owning end-to-end product development by understanding customer pain points, defining product requirements, managing development and testing, and launches
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, design, and marketing throughout the development cycle
  • Regularly interacting with current and prospective customers to build strong relationships and extract valuable insights to inform the product and technical roadmap and enhance the overall product offering
  • Uncovering new product insights by conducting qualitative and quantitative user and market research and staying up-to-date with competitive and technology trends
  • Pinpointing the fundamental user problems that need solving to improve our users’ video content creation experience
  • Designing and implementing systems for collecting and surfacing user feedback as well as relevant product metrics and performance
  • Iteratively testing and refining business model and product hypotheses to ensure we’re building the right thing and that it meets our users’ needs and expectations


We’d love to hear from you if you have:


  • 4+ years of experience in building ML-powered products
  • A technical degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • An ability to ask the right questions and drive the right conversations with technical teams to ensure we’re building the right things with the right technologies
  • Strong product discovery experience and the ability to see concepts through design, execution, and release
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and ability to manage multiple team backlogs simultaneously
  • An ability to easily move from tactical to strategic thinking
  • Helped drive success at a fast-paced, early-stage/AI startup as a founder or early key member
  • A working knowledge of SQL and some coding skills (Python)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • An incredible attention to detail, from internal communications to user-facing product developments

Though we’re still in the early days, we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. We make hiring decisions based on your skills, experience and our overall assessment of what we observed and learned during the hiring process. The target compensation package for this position is a salary ranging from $180,000 to $225,000 and, as one of our first 15 hires, shareholder equity stake in the company. We utilize market data, our compensation strategy, and your evaluated experience and capabilities from our interview process to determine salaries.
