We are looking for experienced manufacturing engineers to lead the refinement of our production methods and drive operational excellence. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and product engineering to elevate our products and processes. This person should be a process expert, good at selecting and analyzing data. They will review our processes and gain an in-depth understanding of them before analyzing the data and then optimizing the processes. You would be gaining valuable cross functional team collaboration exposure, working with operations, engineering and regulatory, setting you up for rapid career growth as these skills are in very high demand in the medical device market. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lean Principles Application: Embrace lean principles to eliminate wastage and enhance productivity. Your dedication to waste reduction will contribute to our sustainability goals.
  • Routings and Work Instructions: Craft and maintain comprehensive manufacturing routings and standardized work instructions that serve as the foundation for consistent and high-quality output.
  • Continuous Improvement Champion: Lead process mapping endeavors that fuel a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Your insights will empower teams to enhance efficiency at every turn.
  • Problem Solving: Utilize your analytical prowess to swiftly identify root causes of issues encountered in current products and production processes. Your timely solutions will keep our operations on track.
  • Fixture and Work Holding Innovation: Harness your ingenuity to devise innovative fixtures and work holding solutions that streamline manufacturing operations. Your designs will be pivotal in ensuring cost-effective production.
  • Process Enhancement and Development: Spearhead the evolution of manufacturing processes and procedures. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating seamless workflows that boost efficiency and quality.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or material science engineering. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with catheters is preferred.
  • Knowledge of working with medical device regulations CFR 820 & ISO13485. Experience is preferred.
  • Working experience in injection molded plastic or press-forming.
  • Demonstratable analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving, including statistical analyses, DOE, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across multi-functional teams. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a distinct advantage.

Requirements:

  • Experience level: 6+ yrs. of medical device manufacturing experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Spanish is a plus!
