The American Diabetes Association is seeking a Full Time Senior Manager, Quality Improvement to join our Health Care Improvement team in the Science & Health Care Division. The position is responsible for quality improvement projects, programs, initiatives, and outcomes. The Senior Manager will ensure effective implementation of high-quality, end-to-end quality improvement initiatives, programs, and projects to meet the organization’s needs. The individual must have primary care knowledge and experience.
The position is full time and will report to the VP of Primary Care and the Director of Dissemination and Implementation Science.
This is a grant-funded position in women’s health and will be focused on efforts in the New York area initially.

Responsibilities
- Manage high-quality, end-to-end quality improvement initiatives, programs, and projects to meet the organization’s needs.
- Support health improvement strategies through practice facilitation in ambulatory clinic and hospital settings.
- Assist in the execution of a well-defined strategic plan for improving things like, diabetes care, cardiovascular health, eye health, and women’s health in alignment with ADA strategy.
- Support collaborators and internal and external teams in building effective and emerging care delivery models.
- Build relationships with clinical leadership of key provider organizations.
- Assist in measurement and data sharing that demonstrates success and ROI.
- Assist clinical practices to review and implement interventions to improve quality and value and decrease cost.
- Influence the design and coordination of measurement activities associated with initiatives, associated network performance, and operational efficiency.
- Support and collaborate with the VPs, CMO collaborators and others on matters of quality.
- Provide expertise in practice facilitation and collaborate with other ADA team members and divisions/departments, as requested.
- Participate in educational activities that pertain to quality improvement topics.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Education:
- A candidate with a clinical background and experience in practice facilitation is preferred.
- A degree in healthcare improvement is preferred and candidates with experience in primary care will be favored.
- 5 years quality improvement experience.
- Diabetes knowledge and experience is preferred.

- Industry competitive base pay ranging from $66,522 - $73,000 for this role. Base offers are determined by several factors including but not limited to your relevant work experience, education, certifications, location, internal pay equity, etc.
