Senior Director, Strategic Communications ($167,600.00-$220,000.00)

Position Summary

The Senior Director of Strategic Content Development will be the chief writer and storyteller of Irvine Company’s most important narratives. This person is responsible for the creation of content and materials for executive presentations, project communications, media relations and community outreach. The position is part of a best-in-class corporate communications team focused on engaging audiences and enhancing the Company’s corporate reputation through initiatives that demonstrate its leadership and vision.

Job Duties

• Develop and execute content strategy for all communications channels
• Manage a team of writers and editors
• Write and produce corporate and project-based print and digital materials
• Edit and proofread all written content
• Collaborate with Irvine Company division marketing teams on integrated communications campaigns
• Provide strategic direction for advertising, digital marketing, social media and other communications-related activities
• Oversee the design and production process
  
  

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in writing in corporate communications
• Excellent writing skills and ability to create engaging content
• Knowledge of real estate, development and/or sustainability is a plus
• Strong editing and proofreading skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines
  
  

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $167,600.00 - $220,000.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
