Position Title: Senior Director, Creative Strategy

Reports to: Global Creative Director

Job Location: New York City, NY

Overview: As the Senior Director, Creative Strategy for SharkNinja, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a diverse team of creatives across various regions to develop innovative and effective marketing campaigns, branding strategies, and design concepts that align with the company's Outrageously Extraordinary mindset and resonate with the target audience on a global scale.

The Senior Director of Creative Strategy is a key leadership position responsible for driving the strategic direction of the company's brand identity, marketing initiatives, and overall creative output and is the key leader in SharkNinja’s New York City office. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and brand positioning, as well as exceptional leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive creative strategies aligned with the company's overarching goals and objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and consumer insights to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation allowing for clear creative differentiation / white-space.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to define the brand's positioning, messaging, and visual identity.

Creative Strategy Leadership:

  • Provide visionary strategic leadership to the creative team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation through strategy.
  • Set clear strategic creative direction and standards, ensuring consistency and alignment across all brand touchpoints. Ensure the creative strategy ladders up throughout the brand journey.
  • Mentor and develop team members, empowering them to reach their full potential and contribute to the company's success.

Brand Development:

  • Lead the development and evolution of the strategic brand identity, ensuring it resonates with target audiences and reflects the company's values and mission.
  • Partner with the Global Creative director to ensure creation of compelling brand assets, including logos, packaging, advertising campaigns, and digital content.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to ensure brand consistency and coherence across all channels.

Campaign Strategy:

  • Develop and help execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define campaign objectives, messaging strategies, and KPIs.
  • Monitor campaign performance and analyze data to optimize creative strategies and maximize ROI.

Creative Excellence:

  • Uphold high standards of creative excellence, craftsmanship, and attention to detail in all projects and deliverables.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and risk-taking, encouraging team members to push creative boundaries and explore new ideas.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform creative strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record of success in a senior creative leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Deep expertise in branding, design, and marketing strategy, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative achievements.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and project management systems.

Salary Range for this position is $182,300.00 - $243,800.00 (DOE)
