Senior Collector

• Collects on consumer loans that are 61+ days’ delinquent, including charge-off loans and negative shares.
• Accurately gathers facts and notates all collection and communication efforts.
• Performs all activities related to collecting amounts due on delinquent loans and negative shares in compliance with department work standards, Mission Fed policies, procedures, federal and state laws including but not limited to the RFDCPA, FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, SCRA, Reese-Levering and UCC.
• Educates members on all options available by offering suggestions on how to meet financial obligations and determine a plan of resolution for full cure.
• Resolves delinquent loan status by performing standard due diligence practices, analyzing member situation, negotiating, and securing acceptable repayment arrangements.
  
  

Here is what we are looking for:

• High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of five years of experience as a Collector with working knowledge of state laws, federal laws, policies, and procedures as they relate to credit, collections, repossession, and remarketing is required.
• Excellent and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed to evaluate member’s financial situations and negotiate for full cure or create terms for repayment.
• Must be able to initiate member contact and determine the reason for delinquency, with a sense of urgency to bring the loan/share current.
• Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: Microsoft Office Suite, Temenos Collections System, Symitar, Application Extender, eVIPR, RDN, NCCI, Lexis Nexis, FocusNet, FDI, AutoIMS, Karpower, Manheim, Experian and Internet.

Base Pay/Salary:

$31.00 - $43.00 an hour

The hourly rate range that we expect to pay for this position is $31.00 - $43.00 per hour. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience,
