What you'll do

As Senior Brand Manager, you will be responsible for the brand's base business (bars) portfolio including strategy, analytics, and new item launches. You'll develop and execute the plan for continued future growth while supporting delivery of annual plan goals. This role reports to the VP of Marketing, manages an Associate Brand Manager, and works closely with other functions including Sales, Finance, Supply Planning and Project Management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop product growth plans, identifying objectives, strategies, key initiatives, and performance measurements.
  • Be the internal expert in the snack bar category through analyses, trends, insights, and knowledge of category dynamics and competition.
  • Develop brand performance reporting on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis, highlighting key trends and opportunities.
  • Drive holistic and detailed understanding of product assortment in context of the consumer, the category, our customers, and our company.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for portfolio optimization (sku rationalization) and renovation.
  • Lead projects to develop and launch new products that drive topline and bottom-line growth.
  • In partnership with category management team, develop fact based selling stories for key retailer partners through formal line and business optimization reviews.
  • Supervise Associate Brand Manager enabling them to achieve performance and development goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an experienced Brand Manager who has an authentic passion for brand, new products, and analytics with experience working in an entrepreneurial, high-growth CPG environment.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of relevant Brand Management experience
  • Proven analytical capability pulling and deriving insights from data, must be fluent with IRI/Nielsen
  • Draws connections between facts, ideas and situations and makes strong recommendations
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L understanding
  • BA/BS minimum, MBA preferred
  • Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Fluent in MSOffice tools and able to quickly get up to speed with business intelligence systems.

Other Qualifications:

  • Collaborator: Enjoy working across functions in a highly collaborative manner
  • Analytical: Strong knowledge of marketplace data sources (IRI, Nielsen, Luminate, Numerator), tracking and reporting processes, yet just as comfortable using soft data (intuition) to make decisions
  • Results-Oriented: Proven ability to deliver KPIs, plans and new items on time.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $145,000.00 - 170,000.00. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
