How a Project/Task Manager Will Make An Impact
- Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate business information processing systems. Translates these processes into high-level requirements, features, and user stories. Coordinates with business and technology teams.
- Guides the team daily on implementing Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodology. Removes impediments so that the team can perform their tasks.
- Configures and monitors agile productivity metrics (e.g., average cycle time, sprint burndown charts, and feature gadgets).
- Coordinates sprint execution per the team’s quarterly Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Increment (PI) Planning Event.
- Works closely with the Scrum Master Lead to prepare for SAFe PI Planning Events.
- Schedules and facilitates weekly requirements and refinement meetings with the client and agile team.
- Records meeting minutes and requirements specifications in real-time.
- Develops systems requirements documentation to meet client needs, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Participates in meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.
- Support Product Owners in their management of requirements and product features.
- Manages requirements using JIRA and Confluence
- Creates and monitors team progress of features, user stories, and bugs.
- Serves as a liaison between technical personnel and business area.
- Works closely with Product Owner Proxy and Team Leads to gather and document business and product requirements.
- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in business analysis, environmental science/policy, or project management.
- Experience or interest working on an agile software development team.
- Experience or interest leading Scrum/Kanban methodology implementation for an agile team.
- Experience or interest managing requirements in Jira and Confluence or similar toolset.
- Scrum Master Certification preferred (via Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Scrum Alliance).
- Security Clearance Level: EPA Public Trust Tier 4 preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with experience developing, communicating, and executing complex ideas.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage changing requirements.
