Job Description: Scientist or Senior Scientist, Biochemistry
Responsibilities include:
Work in a highly collaborative team focused on advancing our gene editing platforms.
Lead biochemical characterization of novel editing systems.
Contribute to platform development strategy and design/build/test engineered systems.
Maintain detailed, well-organized, and timely documentation of experiments and data.
Effectively analyze and present data, and communicate research plans and timelines to the team.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field or B.S./ B.A. with 5+ years of biotech industry experience.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with structure-guided protein/RNA engineering and optimization or high-throughput selection screens.
Protein or RNA purification and assay development.
Preference will be given to those who display:

Ability to go from ideation to data in an independent fashion.

Experience using cryo-electron microscopy for protein structure determination.
Experience leading protein science teams to meet objectives successfully.
Expertise in mammalian cell culture.
