Regional Manager, Operations Support

Description

Position Summary

The Regional Manager - Operations Support will report to the Director of Operations Services. The individual will promote continuous improvement through development and implementation of training, standards, and processes, to support the aggregate and distribution yards through-out the Division with processing, maintenance, and business analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training courses for processing and maintenance activities.
• Analyze operations for improvement opportunities.
• Continued implementation of standards throughout the division
• Promote, train, and mentor on the fundamentals of Operational Excellence
• Be a resource to the operations to solve problems and find unique solutions.
• Support the business partners in implementation of the divisions strategic business plan.
• Identify and coordinate training that aligns with goals and initiatives for each District.
• Ensure teams participation in plant maintenance and process efficiency audits as directed by Division and District Leadership
• Create AggFlow models and identify improvement scenarios aimed at efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
• Identify “best practices” and share for production efficiency and preventative maintenance leveraging solutions and SOPs discovered internally or externally throughout the Company.
• Assist District Ops with data-driven CapEx planning: equipment selection, cost modeling, financial justification.
• Communicate problematic trends to District Leadership. Maintain a dialogue focused on RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and follow-up driving the best practices implementation database.
• Collaborate to achieve plant and mobile availability targets.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of quarry experience or education. 4-year degree in engineering, business, or applicable field preferred.
• Overnight travel required up to 50% of the time.
• Plant and production management experience preferred.
• Ability to work through change management processes and quickly identify and solve issues as they arise.
• Ability to communicate with supervisor and internal customers to determine priority tasks.
• Strong knowledge of quarry operations, maintenance, and performance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook; AggFlow experience a plus.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to physically travel to job sites and work in and around construction environments.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, dust, noise, etc.
• Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner.
