Role Overview
As a Quant Options Trader at Kbit, you will spearhead the development and execution of quantitative options trading strategies on centralized cryptocurrency exchanges. Building on our robust delta-one trading strategies, which include market making and arbitrage in crypto spot and perpetual swap markets, you will lead our expansion into options trading. While prior experience in cryptocurrency markets is not required, you should have a strong background in professional options trading. Our firm is focused on systematic and algorithmic trading, and you will be expected to develop automated strategies such as market making in options markets, volatility arbitrage, and cross-market arbitrage.

We are open to applicants for this position in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, NYC, and San Diego.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and profitable strategies for trading cryptocurrency options
  • Lead the design and development of systematic options trading strategies
  • Continuously review strategy performance looking for new opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement and optimize trading algorithms
  • Stay updated on market trends and developments in the crypto options space




Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of option mechanics and option trading strategies
  • 3+ years’ experience trading options at a hedge fund or prop trading firm
  • Experience developing systematic, algorithmic trading strategies
  • Proficiency in Python for research, backtesting, and strategy implementation
  • Familiarity with financial data analysis tools (e.g., pandas, numpy)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Familiarity with crypto market structure and major exchanges
  • Experience with machine learning applications in trading
