SNIPEBRIDGE, a leading recruitment agency in the Architecture & Design industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Agent to join our client's team. Our client is a design firm known for their innovative and sustainable projects that push the boundaries of architecture and design.
As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for procuring materials and supplies for various projects, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. You will play a crucial role in the successful execution of projects and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms for materials and supplies
Review purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in accordance with project requirements
Coordinate with project managers and design teams to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials
Maintain accurate records of purchases, including pricing, delivery dates, and quantities
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors to replenish stock as needed
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, such as damaged goods or incorrect quantities
Collaborate with accounting team to reconcile invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers
Stay informed about market trends, new products, and industry best practices
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and resolving any issues that may arise
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Management, a closely related field, or a similar role equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Interior Design Procurement; or closely related role
Basic proficiency in understanding of contract structure, terms, and conditions
Experience in the AEC industry, preferred
Advanced ability to work in MS Office Suite, Excel proficient
Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks
Intermediate knowledge of Studio Designer, preferred
Nice to Have
Experience with FF&E purchasing process on both single-family and commercial projects desirable
Knowledge of furniture, fabrics, draperies, and fixtures suitable for residential and commercial projects desirable
Knowledge of international supply chain stressors and logistical parameters in varied geographical contexts recommended
Benefits
At the time of posting this job, the hiring range for this position in Seattle is between $60,000 and $70,000 annually. Final salary decisions are made based upon the extent and relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and considering internal equity and external market factors.
