Job Description:

The Public Affairs Director advances and influences the legislative and regulatory interests of UPS to benefit the business needs of the company. They develop and manages relationships with government personnel. This position evaluates legislative and regulatory proposals in order to establish UPS’s public policy positions and lobbying strategies. The Public Affairs Director works to support political candidates and educate them on issues important to UPS. They manage others within the department.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of government relations or political experience.
  • Must have current relationships with relevant legislative/executive stakeholders in California.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,780/year to $228,214/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
