LHH is working with a holding company of a commercial real estate organization. The company is performing a number of acquisitions, and they are looking for a Property Controller. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience and have a background in commercial property accounting. This is a full-cycle accounting role.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides financial statement guidance to Operations in multi-location environment
  • Reviews financial data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Assists in the month end close process
  • Completes balance sheet and bank reconciliations
  • Ensures that appropriate controls and compliance processes are followed
  • Makes recommendations for process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Prepares journal entries
  • Prepare schedules to ensure audit compliance
  • Prepares planned and ad-hoc reports


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in commercial real estate
  • CPA a plus
