Position Overview
As a Property Accountant II, you'll have the opportunity to work in a hybrid or remote capacity, enjoying flexibility while making a significant impact. You'll play a crucial role in our accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements for our portfolio. Your responsibilities will include preparing journal entries, reviewing general ledger transactions, and collaborating closely with property management teams and clients.
What You'll Do
Prepare and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with property management teams to address accounting and financial inquiries
Support the budgeting process and expense reconciliation preparation
Prepare and submit necessary tax returns and reports
Manage cash accounts and ensure timely payments
Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
2-4 years of experience in commercial property accounting/reporting
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients
Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of accounting software; experience with Yardi or MRI is a plus
Familiarity with full-cycle G/L accounting and CAM reconciliations preferred
