The Programmer Analyst I assists in designing, developing, and maintaining custom and package software applications to meet business and IT needs. Working under the guidance of senior team members and the Team Lead, they participate in Agile Scrum or Kanban teams to understand project requirements, design technical solutions, and write, configure, test, and deliver software for less complex projects. The Junior Programmer Analyst collaborates with senior team members to learn and validate technical approaches, ensuring code quality and standards. They help identify and resolve operational issues with existing applications and technical processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in a tech field from an accredited university required, or comparable combination of experience and professional certifications in lieu of degree.
  • 1 year of relevant IT professional experience required.
  • Experience with development tools like MS Visual Studio, GIT (or other SCM), Azure DevOps, Change Management / Incident Management, ADO or Jira for documentation of work is preferred.
  • Jack Henry Symitar PowerOn development preferred. Experience with .Net C#, Java, PowerShell, JS, or SQL in lieu of PowerOn is helpful.
  • Agile or Kanban experience preferred.
  • 1 year of credit union or financial institution experience preferred.
  • SMA OpCon or similar workload automation tools nice to have.


Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
  • Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.


Work Environment

  • This role is fully remote, with the option to work from our HQ or retail locations.
