Production Assistant

General Summary Of Essential Job Functions

Primary duties include loading material checking for defects. Stacking finished goods and prepare for Packaging. Conducting quality checks on wood pieces shaping and gluing laminate while following safety protocols and maintaining a safe workspace. The ability to communicate and work well with others in an environment that is loud, busy, and non-temperature controlled.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Load and unload boards in a consistent manner maintaining efficiency’s
• Inspect product to quality standards and call out defective product.
• Help assist packaging department as needed.
• Help keep the work area clean during downtime and end of the day.
• Flip boards as need to meet work order specifications.
• Must demonstrate and be willing and able to perform any other duties as assigned by Supervision.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Certifications

• Basic math skills and reading skills
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment,
• Stand for 10-12 hours,
• Push/pull/lift min. 35 pounds
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance and comply with all safety, company policies, and procedures
  
  
  

Preferred Skills, Education, Certifications, Experience

• Demonstrate reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Prefer a Minimum of one year in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills desired
• Ability to work in an environment or knowledge of OSHA, EPA, health department standards, and regulations.
