Primary Responsibilities / Education and Experience
Engineering
Ensure drawings, models, part numbers and BOM’s are accurate and accessible.
Provide constant and consistent product performance feedback to the product engineers.
Make regular field visits to evaluate and record product performance.
Facilitate an equitable relationship between manufacturing and engineering.
Lead root cause analysis investigations, preparing reports and presenting reports to the customer.
New Product Development
Execute product launches targeting a rate of 1 per year.
Constantly be aware of vendor supply of raw material.
Negotiate new vendor agreements.
Identify opportunities for new product development by monitoring field conditions, changes in industry technology, and trends in the frac market.
Develop a business plan that includes why the product is necessary, state the goal of the new product, target dates for launch, marketing plan, costing, supply chain requirements, and detailed plan for successful rollout.
Maintain documentation as it relates to field testing and tracking of new and current products.
Regularly attend customer field visits with the sales organization to understand customer needs.
Develop and compile “voice of the customer” feedback with regional sales teams.
Product Training
Create and continuously update training materials.
Travel to MCP’s in-basin stores to lead technical training classes to ensure our sales team and customers have the knowledge required to succeed.
Sales and Marketing
Compile and maintain up to date market data for frac hose utilization.
Maintain and crow customer and vendor relationships.
Keep marketing materials up to date while also developing new marketing collateral.
Maintain and active understanding of frac hose applications while also actively marketing frac hoses for new applications.
Manufacturing
Understanding of how the product is made.
Identify manufacturing opportunities for improving lead times and reducing costs at the plant level.
Inventory management including forecasting, stocking levels, stocking locations, etc.
Travel
Actively travel (planned and unplanned, as needed) to learn about customers constantly evolving needs, monitor testing/performance, training, and to help address customer concerns with frac hoses.
The ability to visit the wellsite to gather field performance feedback as new product are deployed.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is preferred.
Experience in designing, development, maintenance, and/or operation of frac hoses, material chemistry, frac equipment, and North American frac operations is preferred.
