Product Development Internship Program - Summer 2025 Key Role Details

• This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2025.
• Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s [_hybrid working model_](https://www.capitalonecareers.com/a-hybrid-work-model-at-capital-one-101#:~:text=How%20our%20hybrid%20model%20works,independent%20and%20heads%2Ddown%20work.) , for the duration of the program.
• Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our rotational programs, with start dates approximately one year following the completion of the internship.
• At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (i.e. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, or another type of work authorization).* Basic Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2026 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2025 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2026, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master’s degree)
• Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated interest and experience in product management, software delivery, data science, software engineering, or leveraging software to solve customer and business problems
• Technical undergraduate major such as Computer Science or Engineering preferred. As a Product Development Intern, you will apply your strategic and innovative skills to influence some of the most important products at Capital One. This internship will challenge you to understand and manage priorities of customer needs, business strategy, and technology. You will work closely with expert designers, developers, business analysts and data scientists in an agile, collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibilities, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation. In your role, you might :

• Partner with other product managers to ship, scale, and improve products that delight our customers and position our company for substantial growth. You will work alongside your product team and learn how to strategically influence product direction and prioritize features, actively manage a backlog, and clear impediments for the team.
• Contribute to the success of features for your product. You will test and learn your way to something new while taking into account business strategy, market analysis, user feedback, analytics, and technology best practices.
• Learn how to craft and drive business strategy from experts. You will hone your problem solving skills by deeply understanding our business, developing customer empathy, and integrating multiple streams of data.
• Collaborate with internal partners. You will coordinate with your team to deliver the vision while building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Engage with a network of developers, designers, analysts, data scientists, customers and other subject-matter experts and leverage them to build cutting-edge products. The Ideal Candidate Would Be:
