Your role in helping us shape the future:

U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. In this position you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and skills to launch new products and optimize existing ones.

We are seeking a motivated, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Product Analyst. You will join our 360 Reviews, Commerce team and collaborate with product managers, editors, digital producers, and web developers. You will work directly with the Associate Category Manager in this role.

Are you up to the challenge? This role will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and analyzing key metrics related to brand performance, product tests, and research data to understand program performance.
  • Owning our affiliate link process with a high level of detail. Manage our affiliate links across our internal databases, partners, affiliate platforms, and our offshore team.
  • Owning the collection, standardization and distribution of partner deals and pricing updates for Commerce segments and channels
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for product enhancements and optimizations.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies to improve product performance and user experience. Analyze business impact of product changes.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry developments and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.


You should definitely have:

  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications,
  • 1 - 2 years in data analytics and/or digital marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in GSuite, Excel a plus (GoogleDocs, GoogleSheets, GoogleSlides)
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, LookerStudio
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to build a strong understanding of product metrics and business KPIs; ability to extract insights from data analysis and translate them into actionable takeaways
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to build tables and visualizations to communicate takeaways to management and key stakeholders
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality and detail
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams


It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience in affiliate marketing platforms (such as CJ, Impact, Skimlinks, etc.)
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience working in ecommerce
  • Experience working in publishing with a focus on commerce and reviews
  • Experience with JIRA, AirTable, Confluence, or equivalent project management platforms
  • Experience with user testing such as A/B testing and heat maps

  • The anticipated base salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
