Job Description:
- Identify unsafe operations and practices; promptly report findings to the Manager.
- Provide crucial engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Conduct engineering analysis to minimize downtime and outages.
- Evaluate current production activities and propose recommendations for improvements.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), CRD, and BOM for production activities.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to achieve production goals.
- Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology, and production processes.
- Develop best practices to enhance production capacity, quality, and reliability.
- Regularly update the list of Mechanical Engineering-related stations and tools.
- Timely placement of new tools and jigs on production lines.
- Repair faulty tools or jigs from production lines and ensure a quick return.
- Report tools and jigs failure analysis and propose solutions.
- Formulate a purchase plan for tools and jigs spare parts.
- Assess machinery compliance with UL safety standards and upgrade as required.
- Adhere to company and customer safety guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Flexibility to work all shifts as required by tasks.
- Support facility engineers for daily tasks and production and maintenance activities.
- Regular travel to other worksites as necessary for business activities.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective presentation skills; ability to respond to questions from groups or managers.
- Proficient in providing engineering support for production and maintenance activities.
- Keen knowledge of Pegatron technology products and industry trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills; ability to analyze root causes and derive resolutions.
- Development of best practices for improved production capacity, quality, and reliability.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, with the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, Word, and Outlook.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a similar engineering discipline.
- Working knowledge in Manufacturing Processes Validations, Equipment Inspection, root cause analysis, and statistical process control principles (highly desirable).
- Working knowledge in DOE (Design of Experiments) and NPI (New Product Introductions).
- Familiarity with OSHA and ESD requirements.
