The Data Specialist will support the project team with pipeline record verification. He/she will go through existing pipeline construction document packages to identify and sort relevant information to ensure the pipeline assets have Traceable, Verifiable, and Complete (TVC) for all Class 3 & 4 pipelines, High Consequence Areas (HCAs), and select Medium Consequence Areas (MCAs) while also identifying pipeline segments lacking the necessary TVC documentation.
What You Will Do:
Locate, organize, and catalogue the available records from physical and electronic files.
Review the test records, and if found compliant with the TVC requirements, complete the TVC log.
Identify incomplete and/or gaps from field activities and document gaps.
Indexing of data generated from new hydrotests, replacements, and/or Engineering Critical Assessments (ECAs) into ABS Consulting client’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Pipeline Safety data repositories.
Use Geographic Information Systems to record spatial location of pressure tests and ensure documentation is archived in ABS Consulting’s client Asset Record Archival System (ARAS).
Utilize QA/QC Hydrotest TVC data in the verification process
Provide GIS pipeline mapping and geoscience support to MAOP reconfirmation team
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
Ten or more (10+) years of experience preferred
Associate degree or equivalent in related disciplines
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Gather and analyze data effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills
QA/QC Knowledge
Geographic Information Systems Knowledge
Ability to obtain a working knowledge of ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to a Manager level position.
