Are you an experienced professional in early childhood education, ready to lead our program to new heights? We're seeking a dedicated Preschool Center Director to take charge and ensure the highest standards of care and education for young children in Maryland.

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours of Operation: 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Must be flexible and able to work between the hours of operation)

Salary: $44k-52k commensurate with education and experience.

Your Responsibilities

As our Preschool Center Director, you'll play a key role in the success of our center. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a curriculum that meets state standards and promotes learning and development.
  • Providing leadership and support to our staff, including overseeing professional development opportunities.
  • Manage enrollment processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and families and address concerns or questions.
  • Managing the center's budget and financial reporting.
  • Collaborating with management on policy development and implementation.
  • Serving as a liaison with community partners and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our program and make adjustments as needed.
  • Staying informed on best practices in early childhood education and implementing them in our center.

Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Preferred but not required)
  • Several years of experience in early childhood education, including supervisory or management roles.
  • Familiarity with Maryland State Childcare (COMAR) licensing regulations for childcare centers.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Certification such as the Maryland Child Care Credential or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred.
  • 90 hours in Preschool Child Development and Curriculum Planning
  • 40-45 hours administrative training with 9 hours of training on communicating with staff, parents, and the public
  • 45 hours of Infant and Toddler Training
  • 45 hours of School Age Care
  • Minimum 2 years childcare center management experience a plus
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SmartCare software is a plus!
  • Additional training will include Medication Administration Training, Emergency Preparedness Training, First Aid/CPR, Basic Health and Safety Training, ADA Training, Breastfeeding Training
