Pre-K Floater Teacher

BRONX HOUSE New York, NY

Summary

Bronx House proudly offers a Pre-k For All program in conjunction with the NYC Department of Education. Our PKA program offers a warm, nurturing, stimulating atmosphere where children can expand their skill set and discover the joys of learning in a classroom setting.

The Floater assists the Head Teacher and Assistant Teacher in the PKA classroom with the distribution of students’ meals. Additionally, the Floater supports either the Head or Assistant Teacher during the teachers’ lunch hours. The Floater works with the students to create and foster a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment through enriching conversation and instruction. The Floater is to join classes on walks as needed to offer added support/safety, especially when class numbers are high. The opportunity is also available for Floaters to attend staff/team meetings which may aid in sharing and developing skills in student learning and classroom organization.
