Position Overview:
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Manager to develop and manage a fully systematic or semi-systematic strategies focused on futures and options on US Markets. The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, deep financial market understanding, and a proven track record in developing and managing successful trading strategies. As a key member of our start-up team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our trading strategy and driving our growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Design, develop, and implement fully systematic or semi-systematic trading strategies for futures and options in the US Markets, leveraging quantitative models and advanced algorithms. Bring fresh ideas and approaches to our culture of innovation.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee daily trading operations, ensuring optimal execution and continuous performance monitoring. Adjust strategies based on market conditions and performance analysis. Take ownership of your strategies and make real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify new trading opportunities and enhance existing strategies. Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and other quantitative methods. Collaborate closely with our small, talented research team to push the boundaries of what's possible.
- Risk Management: Implement robust risk management frameworks to monitor and control the portfolio's risk exposure. Ensure adherence to the firm's risk tolerance and regulatory requirements. Innovate risk management practices to suit our agile start-up environment.
- Technology Integration: Work with the technology team to enhance trading infrastructure, including data acquisition, processing systems, and trading platforms. Ensure seamless integration of trading strategies with technology systems. Actively participate in the development process, providing feedback and suggestions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced degree (preferably Master's or PhD) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience managing systematic or semi-systematic HFT or MFT trading strategies in futures or options markets. Demonstrated track record of success in a similar role. Start-up experience or an entrepreneurial mindset is highly valued.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java. Experience with statistical software and data analysis tools. Strong understanding of algorithmic trading systems and infrastructure. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Quantitative Skills: Expertise in quantitative modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning. Ability to develop and validate complex trading models. Passion for continuous learning and innovation in quantitative finance.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of futures and options markets, including market microstructure, trading regulations, and liquidity dynamics.
- Risk Management: Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices. Experience developing and implementing risk controls. Creative thinking about risk management in a fast-evolving start-up context.
