Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES) provides energy industry solutions – new equipment, retrofits, maintenance, outage planning and more – for current and future power generation needs in the Americas, including thermal, hydro and nuclear power plants.


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Parts Administrator to join our West Allis, WI office. Reporting to the Parts Manager, this position will support OEM parts order to sales execution activities. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn how parts is integrated in the power generation business at TAES.

Essential Duties

  • Provide regular support to the Project Coordinators and Parts Project Managers, assisting them with tasks related to the parts order process.
  • Sales Support: Actively support the generation of quotes for OEM part sales, leveraging product knowledge and pricing strategies to optimize part sales opportunities.
  • Order Fulfillment: Support order fulfillment processes, including expediting orders when necessary, and maintain clear communication regarding delivery status updates to all stakeholders.
  • Customer Concern Resolution: Utilize problem-solving skills to address customer concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through effective support and communication.
  • Communication Coordination: Consistently communicate activities related to quotes, as well as the status of open quotes and orders to stakeholders to ensure transparency and efficiency.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to engage in service and repair discussions, providing valuable insights to support parts quotes and project execution.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the team’s success through collaborative problem-solving and innovation.
  • Travel to customer sites to o acquire practical experience with the disassembly, maintenance, and reinstallation processes of OEM parts in Toshiba Steam Turbine Generators.


Education and Required Experience

  • HS graduate or equivalent/ Associates degree in business or technical field preferred.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude desired.
  • General knowledge of machining, materials and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts for quoting, margins, and related reports (Microsoft Excel).
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in verbal and written communication to stakeholders including customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills in a multi-tasking environment are essential.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts, along with maintaining solid customer relationships, is crucial for success in this position.

The employee must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

The majority of this work takes place in an office and the work environment is that of a typical office environment in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are usually moderate. Frequently the employee will interact with personnel in the plant where he/she may be exposed to higher noise levels.
