Schedule: Four to five days a week; must work weekends and all holidays.
Hours: Vary, depending on weather and guest attendance.

Summary
Position Summary
The Building and Grounds Associate maintains the New York Aquarium by performing a few tasks as part of a crew or alone.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Aquarium exhibits, buildings and grounds in all areas (Window, Garbage ETC ) Also sweeping the ramp, leading up to the boardwalk, sweeping around the 4d theater, and check the bushes for trash
Responsible for the upkeep of the stands of the Aqua Theater
Responsible for seating the public during Aqua Theater shows and working in the stands throughout demonstrations
Responsible to report destroyed equipment or any vandalism to exhibits.
Completing other related assignments and assisting others on the team as required
Responsible for setups and break down on all Aquarium events.
Responsible for maintaining comfort station and emptying trash cans
Providing excellent service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions and amenities, answering questions, and finding ways to create a great guest experience, in accordance with WCS standards of guest service.
Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
Ability to remain outdoors for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions
Ability to frequently move objectives up to 50 pounds.
Prior experience using ground tools preferred.
Knowledge of window cleaning a plus
