Position Duties
Lead the orchestra in rehearsals and performances.
Provide clear conducting gestures and cues to guide the ensemble through the music.
Select music that is appropriate for the skill level and interests of the orchestra members.
Plan a balanced and varied program for concerts and performances.
Teach and refine musical skills, including tone quality, intonation, rhythm, and dynamics.
Provide instruction on ensemble playing, including balance, blend, and articulation.
Plan and lead regular rehearsals, ensuring they are productive and focused.
Break down complex pieces into manageable sections for detailed work.
Provide constructive feedback and corrections to improve performance quality
