Job Summary

📣 As the Mentor Lead at STEAM Academy 🤖, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational direction of our programs, guiding and mentoring a team of talented teachers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality instruction. Your innovative ideas, instructional expertise, and leadership skills will empower our educators to create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment where kids can thrive and develop essential 21st-century skills. You will work closely with the leadership team and other stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with the academy’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• 🚀 Training curriculum development and instructional leadership
• Develop and refine teacher training materials, assessments, and curriculum adjustments that align with our Robotics STEAM Academy’s vision and educational standards
• Provide instructional leadership and guide teachers through effective strategies and pedagogical approaches
• 🌐 Teacher recruitment, training, and development
• Lead the recruitment and selection process for hiring exceptional educators who align with the values of Robotics STEAM Academy
• Foster a supportive and collaborative environment by conducting regular coaching sessions, classroom observations, and constructive feedback sessions
• ⚖️ Manage a large mentor team while coordinating the assigning of classes to mentors
• Create an environment where the mentors feel fully supported
• Answer questions and attend to concerns on an ongoing basis
• Hold 1:1 meetings with squad lead (regional) mentors and with individual mentors
• 🤖 Program implementation and quality assurance
• Create a schedule for assigning mentors to school classes
• Oversee the implementation of our Robotics STEAM Academy’s programs across multiple locations and ensure consistency and excellence in instructional delivery, kids’ engagement, and assessment practices
• Establish quality assurance protocols to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods and kids’ outcomes
• 🤝 Collaborative partnerships and community engagement
• Collaborate with the Market Lead and other stakeholders to identify strategic partnership opportunities with schools, organizations, and industry leaders
• Engage with parents, kids, and the wider community to build strong relationships and promote the value of robotics and STEAM education
• 🗓️ Research and innovation
• Stay abreast of the latest research, advancements, and emerging trends in robotics and STEAM education
• Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation by encouraging teachers to explore new instructional methodologies, technologies, and project-based learning opportunities
• 👥 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as instructors, program managers, and third-party collaborators
• Leverage AI tools to enhance marketing efforts and create engaging and compelling content for further market-reach
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize marketing strategies.
• Develop and refine curriculum frameworks, instructional materials, and assessments that alight with our Robotics STEAM Academy’s vision and educational standards
• Provide instructional leadership and guide teachers through effective strategies and pedagogical approaches

Qualifications

• 🏆👉👥 5+ years in education, STEAM-related field, or related discipline
• 🧠📈📅 Teaching experience, preferably in robotics, engineering, or STEAM subjects
• 💬📝👌 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
• 💯 🙌 👊Proven management experience
• 🔜🔝💻 Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies
• 💼🌪️🤝 Proven leadership experience, including teacher supervision, mentorship, and professional development
• 👨‍💼🤝👩‍💼 Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines by overseeing and fostering collaboration with a team of external third-parties
