On Line Design is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to support one of our current clients. This is a contract role that has a history of being long term with the ability to be renewed. In this role you will be asked to support design to build for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA) of various line equipment. Must be US Authorized.
Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Degree (MSME, BSME or BSMET) and 10 years experience in mechanical design for high speed converting equipment
Ability to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS with the ability to compute the results given by the software to define critical zones, improve the design, and generate reports
Working design experience with pneumatics design
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) certification or working experience
Experience with Solid Edge CAD Software at advanced level is required, Teamcenter (PLM) is a plus
Experience in Modeling and Simulation.
Ability to quote or support quoting design projects
Knowledge of machining practices including EDM, Sheet Metal processing, 3D Printing, general machining and capabilities. Knowledge of innovative machining practices and procedures
Ability to travel if needed, work will usually be able to be done remotely around 80% of the time
