THE ROLE

Our Materials Coordinator role ensures that ingredients and packaging are in place to support production at our manufacturing facilities. You will analyze materials inventories, review requirements and, in partnership with the greater materials team, arrange transport of materials. You will maintain appropriate inventories to meet production requirements and space constraints. You will work directly with our co-mans, warehouses, logistics team, and suppliers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of inbound materials as well as troubleshoot any service or quality issues. This role will build and maintain strong working relationships with external business partners, as well as internal partners to ensure key objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure materials are ordered within lead time to support production schedules, paying close attention to maintaining proper inventory levels.
  • Efficient allocation of materials across all manufacturing locations in time to support production schedules.
  • Follow up on open purchase orders and ensure shipments and receipts are processed on time.
  • Utilize systems to process transactions daily to execute various transit responsibilities.
  • Minimize material write-offs and work with appropriate parties to ensure “First Expired, First Out” is observed and materials are used most efficiently.
  • Establish improvements to the overall effectiveness of how materials are ordered, shipped, received, and maintained with an emphasis on cost savings
  • Communicate with appropriate parties to correct receipt errors.
  • Support Supply Planning team in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and co-manufacturers, building out processes to support growth.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of prior experience in inventory management, MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) or related experience within a CPG company preferred
  • Adept at planning and problem-solving, with ability to forecast, act quickly and accurately.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data to make sound decisions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Deadline oriented with the ability to organize assignments, set priorities, and carry out plans.
  • Strong attention to detail, hard work ethic, ability to work well with others and highly organized.
  • Experience working with an ERP system; high level of NetSuite exposure and training preferred.
  • Great technical skills with Excel and other MS Office products, Google Suite.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Willingness to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$70,000-$75,000 base salary + bonus
