Manufacturing Engineer

Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for understanding, defining, documenting, and optimizing processes and process parameters for the product as well as ensuring manufacturing equipment complies with safety standards. The Manufacturing Engineer will work cross-functionally with the internal teams including Sales, R&D, Production, Quality, Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and Customer Service.

Key Activities

• Evaluate, define, and document existing manufacturing processes and workflows
• Perform continuous risk assessment and cost reduction exercises to define and improve manufacturing processes
• Assist in the development of processes for new products
• Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency
• Create work instructions for change-overs and manufacturing
• Communicate with and educate operators to improve and define manufacturing processes
• Ensure the QMS system is maintained and up to date
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Work with Plant Engineer, Maintenance, and vendors on projects
• Assist with the installation of new equipment
• Value Stream Mapping

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency using MS Office and MS Project
• Proficiency using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, data analysis programs, and/or related software
• Education and Experience Preferences:
• Experience with chemical handling or thermal drying

Educations & Experience

• BS in Engineering – Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical
• 10+ years of related experience
• Technical knowledge of pumps, mixing equipment, filtration (polish filtration)
• Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques
• Knowledge of industrial electronics
