Citizens JMP is seeking a Managing Director to join the Technology/FinTech group within Capital Markets & Advisory (“CM&A”). We are seeking a Managing Director with specific experience in the FinTech space and who has established Corporate and Financial Sponsor relationships within the sector. This candidate would facilitate strategic dialogue with existing and new bank clients driving revenue in Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”), Equity Capital Markets, and Debt Capital Markets. You would serve as the primary architect of client discussions and presentations, bringing appropriate product partners into situations as needed. Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Generate investment banking revenues in various forms with the help of product partners
  • Establish and cultivate long-term relationships at the C-suite level of Medical Technology/Medical Devices clients
  • Present strategic ideas, industry trends and strategic advice to clients.
  • Collaborate on cross-sell efforts with Citizens Commercial Bankers
  • Help in the execution of deals as it relates to offering industry expertise both internally to committees as well as externally to investors
  • Attend industry related conventions and conferences, to establish new and build on existing relationships while identifying industry trends
  • Liaise with internal product partners as well as risk management to deliver the firm to clients while ensuring that appropriate credit and market risks are identified and addressed

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated, long-term client relationships and knowledge of the FinTech industry
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Investment Banking and/or Capital Markets with a top ranked investment bank or commercial bank
  • Proven experience working with Debt and Equity Capital Markets, and leading M&A mandates
  • Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task
  • Strong credit acumen preferred.

Education, Certifications And/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Master’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Series 79 & 63 licenses

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $300,000 - $300,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
