Job Title: Managing Director
Position Overview: Join a growing team in Boston and collaborate with offices worldwide on international energy transition projects. As a senior member of the team, you'll be involved in originating and executing impactful transactions, leading financial structuring, debt raising, and M&A transactions. You'll be the primary contact for prospects, clients, stakeholders, and the team, using your analytical skills and entrepreneurial mindset for innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Originate financial advisory missions in the energy transition by leveraging and expanding your business network in the US.
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Manage advisory missions related to financial structuring, bank and institutional debts, debt raising, and M&A equity finance transactions.
Lead interactions with clients, banks, and stakeholders.
Supervise financial analysts in developing and managing financial models and cash flow valuations for renewable energy projects.
Oversee due diligence processes.
Gather market intelligence on relevant sectors like electricity, debt, and venture capital markets.
Obtain and maintain US securities licensing (SIE, Series 79, Series 82, Series 63, Series 24) sponsored by the company's broker-dealer affiliate.
Become a registered principal of the US broker-dealer.
Share knowledge, build networks, and lead business development.
Participate actively in a dynamic, international team focused on delivering high-quality results.
Requirements:
Master's degree in finance or related field.
10+ years of relevant work experience in investment banking or the renewables sector.
Demonstrated interest in energy transition.
Leadership experience in the energy transition industry with a broad network.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly.
Strong understanding of financial concepts and products.
Ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Initiative, ownership, and accountability.
Willingness to work in cross-border teams and travel abroad.
Empathy and understanding of stakeholders' needs and aspirations.
Additional language skills (Portuguese, French, German, Dutch, Chinese, or Japanese) are a plus.
