We are hiring a Managing Broker to join our team at Knipe Realty ERA Powered, an established real estate brokerage serving Oregon and Washington.

Position Details:

  • Total Compensation: $90,000-$150,000 on target annual earnings between base salary and commission opportunities.
  • Location: Based in Tualatin, Oregon with occasional travel to Salem and Vancouver offices.
  • Flexible Work: 4 days onsite; other work may be performed remotely.

  • Advancement Opportunities: This position is designed to eventually progress into a Principal Broker role.


The Role: The Managing Broker will be responsible for leading all brokerage recruiting initiatives, supporting agents with training and development, and providing ongoing support to agents throughout their career here. Duties may include:


  • Developing recruiting strategies to attract new and tenured agents.
  • Utilizing brokerage recruiting resources to contact and follow up with prospective agents.
  • Managing the interview process from start to finish.
  • Organizing onboarding and training initiatives for new hires.
  • Providing ongoing coaching, training, and development for agents.
  • Supporting agents with transaction questions and other general guidance needed to be effective in their roles.
  • Performing administrative duties as necessary including transaction reviews, various paperwork, reporting, etc.
  • Enhancing company culture by building trusted professional relationships, participating in company events, and upholding company values.
  • Working closely with other principal brokers, administrative staff, and leadership team members to drive brokerage initiatives forward.
  • Other duties as position continues to develop.


Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting others with success in their careers, along with a strong ability to connect with various personality types. Other qualifications include:


  • Principal Broker license in Oregon (Washington license is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience as a real estate agent.
  • Track record of selling and managing volumes of 15-25+ homes per year.
  • Previous experience as a mentor or coach in some capacity.
  • Ability to lead with integrity, ingenuity, enthusiasm, and upstanding character.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to independently drive tasks forward and use critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to proficiently work within and/or quickly learn multiple technology systems.
