Role Description

The Lux Executive Partner is a key member of the Lux Product team. For Lux’s CXO clients, the Executive Partner personifies attributes including effective executive coach, strategic thought partner, subject matter expert in multiple domains, and enthusiastic problem solver. The Lux Executive Partner role will work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret Lux’s strategy, understand Lux-served industries, and monitor ongoing developments in the market to assist Lux’s commercial teams in pursuing the most opportune C-level executives for this service.
  • Perform as an authority on strategy & innovation – and exude credibility, empathy, and confidence – across CXO clients in diverse industries.
  • Develop personalized delivery plan for each executive – and deliver on that plan throughout the relationship.
  • Independently conduct regular one-on-one meetings with executives at client locations.
  • Plan, facilitate, and present Lux content at executive roundtables.
  • Meaningfully coach executives and/or facilitate executives’ meetings, team interactions, and presentations.
  • Work with Lux’s Marketing, Sales, Client Experience, Research, and Consulting teams to contribute to executives’ satisfaction and renewal.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in multiple areas of relevance for target CXO clients – and engage in impactful peer-to-peer relationship with Lux’s Research and Consulting leaders.
  • Steadily build a network of contacts within Lux-served industries.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in science/engineering/math; an MBA is preferred.
  • 20+ years’ experience in technology/strategy consulting with demonstrated skills in research, analysis, and presentation OR a senior management role in technology/innovation/strategy
  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate R&D, strategic/operational value of R&D and the role of the CXO (including leadership, operations management, strategy and trends, use of metrics, etc.)
  • Mastery of spoken and written business English
  • Advanced practitioner’s skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to deliver CEO-level and Board-level content.
  • Willingness to travel within the continent at least once a quarter to meet each executive. International travel may be required.

  • Advanced degree in science/engineering/math from a top-20 institution in the chosen field
  • Senior management role preferred in technology/innovation in a Fortune 500 company
  • Excellent relationship skills with C-level executives.
  • Clear and eclectic thinker, cogent writer, and articulate speaker.
  • Expert capabilities in critical reasoning, problem solving, and client management.
  • A self-directed positive attitude, engaging demeanor, and measured approach for tackling challenges in ambiguous business environments.
  • Emotional maturity and equanimity in demanding, highly visible, client-facing situations.
  • Keen desire to receive feedback and implement prompt action within a fast-growing company.
  • Natural aptitude for leadership and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated capacity to win business with existing and prospective clients.
