Global Partners is a division that manages all Converse licensees, distributors and partners around the world, coordinating more than 30 partners and operating in more than 100 countries. Our countries range throughout three regions: EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), SEAIA (Southeast Asia, India and Australia) and LATAM (Latin America).
We provide our partners with toolkits inclusive of detailed guidelines and assets for all campaigns. These toolkits need to be very concise and clear so partners can easily implement and bring our campaigns to life in their region.
Global Partners Marketing is a nimble, fast and passionate team of diverse individuals that lead, encourage, educate and empower our worldwide partners (distributors, licensees and partners of the brand) through programs, directives and toolkits that enable us to serve Creators, elevate the brand and drive growth.
Who we are looking for
We are searching for the Lead, Entertainment, Sport and Community in Global Partners. As an integral member of the GP Marketing team, you will power the Marketing function by clearing the path and fueling the next generation of Creators.
You are passionate about understanding culture and how it crafts human behavior and interactions.
What you will work on
You will be our connection point to Creators, and help us understand and seek culturally-informed insights from subcultures that ignite briefs and ideas, that also help our Creative team build meaningful messages that resonate with our audience on a deeper level and that can lead to a more authentic and impactful brand engagement. You will help leverage culture that leads to effective marketing strategies to connect to diverse audiences.
Specifically, your main role is to be the Global steward for our grassroots Creator community (All Stars). As the Global All Star lead, you will help create a global platform that authenticates our sharp Brand positioning and creates a value exchange model that builds the Brand and delivers value to Creators, providing access and opportunities for them to get closer to our brand to co-create.
In addition, you will be our division's (GP) connection point for Global Talent (top funnel catalysts, athletes, etc.). You will also create a Global Partner strategy to leverage Global and Local top funnel talent to drive reach and awareness.
We are looking for a self-starter, fast learner, and ‘one-team' mentality teammate. Someone curious, scrappy, nimble, who believes in co-creation, progress vs. perfection, and can find simplicity in complexity.
Who you will work with
We're a diverse, inclusive, innovative and hardworking team. In this role, you'll report directly to the Global Partners Brand Marketing Director. On a day to day basis you will work with cross functional teams in:
- Brand Marketing function (Brand Engagement, Brand Creative, Communications, Energy/Skate/Basketball, Brand Innovation)
- Consumer Direct Marketing function (Retail, Digital Brand, Performance Marketing)
In addition to that, you'll be working closely with the Geo and Global Marketing teams to find cross geo-synergies.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years experience as a creator or has had experience working with creators.(Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs)
- Experience in grassroots community building, brand communities, agency (strategy, creative, or insights), and/or fast-paced creative department a plus
- A global mentality with cross-cultural repertoire
- Passion and curiosity about understanding culture and how it shapes human behavior and interactions
- Someone who wants to understand and demonstrate the connectivity of cultures; someone who wants to be a cultural innovator and bring grassroots creator ideas to life through product, and brand manifestations
- Someone who has the ability to balance art and science, and has a passion for the art of storytelling
- A teammate attitude, an engaging style and an urge to seek out innovative solutions
- A self-starter with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and bring ideas to life
- Strong oral and written communications skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
- Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses
- Proven experience excelling in a constantly evolving, high-growth environment
- Ability to balance multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes
- Ability to develop strong, collaborative working relationships with cross functional and cross-cultural teams and external resources
- Ability to empower others, deal with ambiguity, and effectively collaborate in decision-making
