Open Dealer Exchange is seeking a Lead Billing Analyst to support its business in Farmington Hills, MI. This position will report directly to the Controller and work collaboratively with the entire accounting department. The Lead Billing Analyst will be responsible for owning and executing the billing process end-to-end. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, has advanced Excel skills, and has obtained an education in a finance, accounting, or math-related field.
Job Functions
Own and maintain the Company’s billing process, including the ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to accumulate source data from multiple inputs
Conduct audits to validate data consolidation results vs. source data, validate product pricing, and other investigations related to accurate billing
Work with account management and product teams to ensure clients are billed as expected.
Lead continuous process improvement projects related to billing controls, quality and efficiency, and automation opportunities
Provide monthly financial reconciliations, reporting, and variance analyses.
Provide billing support as needed, including investigating and fixing billing issues with the appropriate support team
Manage, analyze, and audit customer price increases.
Document standard operating procedures for billing processes and keep up to date as changes are made.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or other Business concentration.
2+ years of experience in Finance, Data Analytics, Accounting and/or Billing.
Ability to collect, aggregate, analyze, and interpret large amounts data.
Advanced MS Excel experience such as working with pivot tables, filters, or other functions related to data analysis.
Highly dependable, flexible, and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience with data manipulation tools such as Power Query preferred
Salesforce experience is a plus
