Junior to Midlevel Litigation Attorney

Our client, a prestigious Am Law 10 law firm, is in search of a litigation attorney with at least three years of federal district court experience to support the patent litigation practice in its DC office. Experience with Intellectual Property litigation is strongly preferred but not required. Experience with International Trade Commission Section 337 litigation is also a plus but not a requirement.

Job Details:

• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Location: Hybrid in Washington DC
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Duration: Likely 3-6 months, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role at the firm if the candidate is a good fit.
• Pay rate: $95 - $145 per hour

Job Duties:

• Research and writing; ability to draft motions, responses, memorandums, and other litigation documents.
• Document review; managing teams and working with junior attorneys on reviews
• Familiarity with eDiscovery databases such as Relativity
• Propounding discovery, responding to discovery requests
• Handling depositions, including expert witness depositions; preparing, taking, and defending depositions
• Preparing and managing filings, court deadlines, etc.

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of federal district court litigation experience, with a preference for IP and/or International Trade Commission Section 337 litigation experience
• Experience with medical device cases and cases involving the FDA is beneficial
• Barred in the US, active and in good standing

The hourly rate range for this position is approximately $95 - $145 per hour. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
